Celebrate Mardi Gras at the West Chester Cajun Restaurants

February 23, 2017

Mardi Gras is just around the corner on Feb. 28, and lucky for Chestnut Square residents, there are plenty of Cajun restaurants located near your apartment to celebrate the holiday the way it’s supposed to be celebrated – surrounded by scrumptious, spicy seafood and colorful drinks.

If you’re looking to get in on the Mardi Gras festivities this year, then check out these Cajun hotspots in your West Chester neighborhood.

The High Street Caffé, located at 322 S High Street which is about half a mile from your Chestnut Square apartment, is a funky stop that serves a Cajun-Creole menu with exotic twists and weekend jazz. Don’t miss the Creole jambalaya fettuccine with chicken, andouille and crawfish sautéed with the holy trinity in Creole Red sauce, finished with a splash of crème or the voodoo fra diablo with shrimp, crawfish and calamari sautéed in blackened voodoo lager fra diablo sauce, tossed with fettuccine and parmesan.

The Social Lounge, located at 29 E Gay Street which is a block away from your Chestnut Square apartment, is a festive nightspot featuring Cajun-inspired eats and craft cocktails in a comfortable, stylish setting. Try the pumpkin macaroni and cheese with sweet pumpkin cheese baked with ziti and topped with cinnamon bread crumbs finished with a drizzle of apple cider syrup, as well as the cocoa pork chop with a cocoa-rubbed bone-in prime pork chop flame grilled and served with apple cider grits and butternut squash cream.
