Best Places to Watch the Phillies in West Chester

June 2, 2018

It may not be summer yet, but the boys of summer are back!

The Phillies’ season is in full swing and, with the region still riding high off the Eagles’ Super Bowl win, there are big expectations for the Phillies. If you want to check out a game in person, you can always head into the city but, if you’d rather save the trip—and the cash on the expensive hot dogs!—stick around West Chester for some local fun.

There are lots of sports bars near your Chestnut Square apartment that offer great views of the game, without the hassle of heading to South Philly. And on hot summer days, watching the hometown team with a beer in your hand and the air conditioner on full blast is definitely a score!

Here are the best sports bars in West Chester:

Landmark Americana: Four blocks from your Chestnut Square apartment, Landmark Americana is a stylish way to watch sports. Pub grub gets kicked up a notch here, with a diverse selection of wings, gourmet burgers and even five variations of macaroni and cheese. The festive atmosphere will put any Phillies fan in a good mood, even if the team isn’t on top.

Barnaby’s: With drink specials for all Philly sporting events, Barnaby’s, three blocks from your Chestnut Square apartment, is a popular spot for Phillies watching. Options abound on the menu—with nine different sauces for wings and more than a dozen types of burgers—as well as in seating, with indoor and outdoor tables.

Jake’s: A half-mile from your Chestnut Square apartment, Jake’s is a bit off the beaten path from West Chester’s main streets, making it a true find. The corner-bar type venue is popular with locals for its cheap brews and bites and friendly atmosphere.
