How to Celebrate the Holidays This December 2022 in West Chester

November 22, 2022

Looking for ways to celebrate the holidays near West Chester in December 2022? Look no further. We’ve got you covered. Here are three events well worth checking out this year.

West Chester Christmas Parade

Join our neighbors in downtown West Chester Dec. 2 for the biggest Christmas parade in Chester County.

Beginning with a tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., the parade will follow at 7 p.m. rain or shine. Admire award-winning floats from some of the county’s most talented creative designers along with nationally recognized marching bands, and, of course, the big man himself, Santa Claus. Hop Aboard the Christmas Tree Train

West Chester Railroad is bringing back one of its most popular events — Christmas Tree Train, an exciting way to chop your own tree this year. Hop aboard  Dec. 4 at Market Street Station in West Chester at 8 a.m.

Please know that this train does leave promptly in order to reach Wiggins Tree Farm in West Chester by 8:30 a.m. Upon arrival, passengers will disembark at the farm in order to find that perfect tree to bring home for the holidays. Hand saws will be supplied. At 9:45 a.m., passengers will board the train again and will be brought back to Market Street Station where trees will be offloaded from the train. Photos with Santa at Exton Square

If you’re looking for a great way to have your photo with Santa Claus this year, be sure to visit Exton Square Mall. Reservations are strongly recommended as guests without a reservation may experience long wait times or be asked to visit at a different time. Also, Santa will take his break time at 1-2 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. so be sure to call ahead. Learn more about Photos with Santa at Exton Square Mall.
