Ready to celebrate Independence Day this Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in Chester County? Here are three ways to celebrate within 30 minutes of home.

Spirit of America – Longwood Gardens

Where: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square.

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, Friday, July 1

Tredyffrin Township 4th of July Celebration

Where: Wilson Park, 500 Lee Road, Chesterbrook.

When: Tuesday, July 4, 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

Bring your lawn chairs  and a picnic dinner to Wilson park this Fourth of July as the Chester County Concert Band kicks off Chester County’s favorite Independence Day celebration.  Enjoy food trucks, including ice cream, and funnel cakes before the fireworks launch at dusk. 20th July 4th Victory Run, Bike Parade and Picnic

When: July 4, run at 7:30 a.m., parade at 9:45 a.m., picnic at 11 a.m.,

Where: Johnson Park, 198 Bridge Ave., Berwyn

This year, our Chester County neighbors in Easttown Township will not only celebrate the Fourth of July. They also have the honor of marking the 20th anniversary of this annual celebration in the township. Beginning at Johnson Park, the Berwyn Victory Run/Walk will lead right into the Kids Race, followed by the Bike Race, and a community picnic.

Here’s the full celebration schedule:

7:30 AM – Registration for the Run

8:30 AM – Run/Walk Starts

9:30-10:00 AM – Kids Races

9:45-10:30 AM – Bike Parade Registration

10:30 AM – Bike Parade Begins (don’t be late!)

11:00 AM – Picnic

11:30 AM – Games and Contests

12:30 PM – Water Cannon Shot by the Berwyn Fire Company
