Where to Find the Best Oktoberfest in West Chester

October 2, 2019

The month of October brings lots of exciting fall fun: sweater weather, pumpkin spice and firepit parties. One of the best ways to welcome autumn near your Chestnut Square apartment is at one of the many fall festivals taking place in and around Philly this month. Some emphasize fashion, others art and still others music—but most have one thing in common: brews! Oktoberfest-themed events abound in the area this month, offering you plenty of opportunities to enjoy some sudsy socializing in the spectacular October weather.

If you’re looking for an Oktoberfest celebration with a unique spin, head over to Iron Hill Brewery, just two blocks from your Chestnut Square apartment. For the first two weeks of October, the brewery transforms into a German beer hall—complete with décor, special food items and traditional German beer. The Oktoberfest menu specials are offered during dinner on weekdays, as well as all day on weekends—so swing by for a post-work happy hour or head out with your crew on a Saturday to get into the spirit of the season!

The food menu takes the Iron Hill items that we all know and love and gives them a German makeover. For instance, the Oktoberfest egg rolls are made with bratwurst, sauerkraut, cheddar cheese and beer mustard dipping sauce, while the schlachtplatte is a traditional German meat platter, featuring everything from brats to pork loin and served with potato salad. The menu includes apps, entrees and even desserts. Or, if it’s just a few brews you’re after, indulge in the limited-release Oktoberfest, a traditional German festival beer, which will also be available in four-packs to go. And best yet, since it’s just steps from your Chestnut Square apartment, you can even go back for return trips to keep the celebration going.

Prost!
