But what if you’re going stag this year? You don’t have to wallow with ice cream and Netflix—you can enjoy the spirit of the holiday by showing your closest friends some love with a night out on the town right near home.
BYOB art classes are all the rage, and this fad has hit our neck of the woods as well! Painting with a Twist is located right on West Chester Pike, about 10 minutes from your Chestnut Square apartment. The DIY painting studio is no-experience-necessary: All you have to bring is yourself, your friends and your favorite bottle—and then get ready to watch your creativity flow!
Painting with a Twist offers a wide range of classes, each focused on bringing a different painting to life. There is usually one painting option each weeknight, two to three on Fridays, and up to 10 over the weekend—so you can pick whichever image you think you would look best in your Chestnut Square apartment and then book your tickets!
The studio provides the canvas and paint, and a trained artist walks all students through each step of the painting process. It’s not all just copying, though—students are encouraged to add their own twists with different colors, brushstrokes and interpretations, so at the end of the class, no two canvases will look the same. In addition to being BYOB, the studio also allows participants to bring in food, so bring along your favorite foods and sip, snack and socialize at breaks.
