Dine Out For Life in West Chester

April 18, 2018

Once a year, thousands of restaurants across the nation, including some near your Chestnut Square apartment, join forces in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Dining Out for Life has been raising funds for HIV/AIDS causes for decades, and 2018 is set to be the biggest and best year of the fundraiser. On April 19, more than 175 local eateries will donate a third of their proceeds to the effort, which will then be distributed directly to local residents affected by the disease as well as to organizations that work to combat the epidemic. While the event raises funds and awareness for a serious cause, it’s also designed to encourage diners to enjoy a fun night out, with many venues featuring entertainment, raffles and specials.

Diners can find something to suit any taste at Dining Out for Life, as restaurants representing a range of flavors, and across varying price points, are participating. Even among eateries near your Chestnut Square apartment, you can find lots of options, such as:

Avalon Restaurant: Just one block from your Chestnut Square apartment, Avalon Restaurant offers Italian and Spanish cuisines, as well as a creative mixture of the two. The casual bistro setting features gourmet pizzas, handmade pastas, braised meats and more. The food menu is made even more exciting by a robust and creative cocktail list, designed around the prohibition era. Grab a group and enjoy the food and fun, all for a good cause.

Eclat Chocolate: Save room for dessert and head over to Eclat, three blocks from your Chestnut Square apartment. The shop sells a wide range of gourmet and organic chocolates, from basic bars to truffles, caramels, chocolate-covered pretzels and more. Grab a pack of chocolate sticks, which are designed to add a fun and tasty treat to coffee, tea and other warm beverages.
