And if you’re looking to add to your routine with a group workout, once area gyms fully reopen, there are plenty of local spots where you can work on your fitness while (safely!) getting some motivation by friends and neighbors.

One space is Mitch’s Gym. Located three blocks from your Chestnut Square apartment, the longtime independently owned gym offers a range of programs to help you kick off your year on the right foot. If you want some help getting your fitness in focus, you can work with one of Mitch’s expert personal trainers. Each is a nationally certified professional who will tailor a workout program to your abilities and interests. Whether it’s weight loss or strength development you’re after, working one on one with a trained expert can provide the jumpstart you need to keep your New Year’s resolution in sight.

Once normal operations resume, Mitch’s also has a full schedule of group classes, which it calls RipFit. Held in a functionally designed fitness studio featuring four climbing stations and more than 200 pieces of equipment, RipFit features a new workout with every class, utilizing medicine balls, rope climbs and much more. Other group fitness sessions include pilates, gentle yoga, vinyasa flow yoga, boot camp and more, with more than 20 unique classes held each week.
